Electrician Trainee Program, a Partnership to Support Future Talent!

We are proud to be partnering with the Western Electrical Contractors Association, Inc. (WECA), to offer an Electrician Trainee Program. We currently have staff in this program and through this partnership, these staff members will gain hands-on experience. Working alongside our senior electricians they will increase their knowledge, through WECA’s program, to eventually become qualified journeyman electricians.

Established in 1929, Western Electrical Contractors Association (WECA), is an independent electrical contractors’ association that provides innovative training and apprenticeship programs, critical business services, governmental advocacy, and responsive customer support to its members, students, and the electrical and low voltage industries in California.

We look forward to our ongoing partnership with WECA, through the Electrician Trainee Program, to support industry growth by nurturing and educating our future talent!

At Lightworks, we're dedicated to nurturing the growth of AV professionals through our distinctive learning and development program, intricately linked to career advancement and compensation. Collaborating closely with our seasoned AV technicians and managers, employees embark on a journey of continuous improvement.

As part of our program, participants gain access to top-notch training from renowned sources such as:

WECA Low Volt Apprenticeship Program: Gain a nationally recognized qualification through our partnership with WECA, providing hands-on experience and expertise in low-voltage systems.
ProSource University: Access cutting-edge training modules and resources via ProSource University, empowering you with the latest industry knowledge and skills essential for success.
CEDIA Certification Courses: Elevate your expertise with specialized courses from CEDIA Certification, designed to sharpen your proficiency in audiovisual technology and ensure you're equipped to excel in the field.

Our program is structured with a set training curriculum that links training progress to wage increases. Additionally, there is a dedicated field manager who helps each individual set quarterly goals and works to ensure you receive practical in-field experience as well as any online/theory classes in these areas of study to help your success.

With each milestone reached – whether through practical experience or theoretical knowledge – individuals progress through various stages, including:
